CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional)

Cebic has CISSP certified personnel, which is an internationally accredited certification that attests the holder has detailed knowledge of the ten domains in the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), as designated by the (ISC)2 (see below).

To receive CISSP certification, one must pass the test administered by the (ISC)2, AND have a minimum of four years' work experience in one or more of the CBK domains. CISSP certification is based on a broad range of knowledge, making it an appropriate certification for security managers.

(ISC)2 Certifications

(ISC)2 is a global, not-for-profit organization dedicated to:

  • Maintaining a Common Body of Knowledge for Information Security [IS].
  • Certifying industry professionals and practitioners in an international IS standard
  • Administering training and certification examinations.
  • Ensuring credentials are maintained, primarily through continuing education.

Governments, corporations, centers of higher learning and organizations worldwide demand a common platform for and proficiency in mastering the dynamic nature of information security. (ISC)2 helps fulfill these needs.

Thousands of IS professionals in over 60 countries worldwide have attained certification in one of the two designations administered by (ISC)2:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional [CISSP]
  • System Security Certified Practitioner [SSCP]

Both credentials indicate those certified have demonstrated experience in the field of information security, passed a rigorous examination, subscribe to a Code of Ethics and maintain certification with continuing education.

 ISSA (Information Systems Security Administration) Membership

 The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)® is a not-for-profit international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides education forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members.

 CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) Certification

 CISM defines the core competencies and international standards of performance that information security managers are expected to master. It provides executive management with the assurance that those who have earned their CISM have the experience and knowledge to offer effective security management and consulting service.

Earning the CISM designation requires a combination of work experience, tested expertise and a commitment to ethical conduct and continuing professional education. A minimum of five years of information security work experience with a minimum of three years in information security management are required in three or more of the CISM job practice areas.

 Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is a global organization that in the three decades since its inception has become a pace-setting global organization for information governance, control, security and audit professionals with more than 28,000 members working in over 100 countries.

Thousands of IS professionals in over 100 countries worldwide have attained certification in one of the two designations administered by ISACA:

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor [CISA]
  • Certified Information Systems Manager [CISM]
